I’m not sure why we back in the USA didn’t write on this a year ago! You kids probably don’t know that I would try to catch her every Friday morning and she was always, no matter how sick, happy to hear my voice—or faked it well. And I think that it is because of those phone calls that I get to hear her voice all the time, even now. We don’t always realize that sort of thing stays with us. One day, please G-d we’ll get out of חוץ for good. In the meantime it would be great to be allowed in for a visit! Love, Aunt Linda

I will never forget Leesa's warmth and generosity, welcoming Tony and me to your family Shabbat on the first night of our visit to Israel. I didn't get to know her well during the very months we roomed together in college, and on that evening I realized what I had missed. Our thoughts are with you all. Liz Werby

Dear Menachem, we have such wonderful memories of our trip to Turkey together to witness the solar eclipse 20 years ago. Leesa was such a wonderful and happy person and brought such light and joy with her. We were so sad to hear of her passing. Daniel and Tali Tarlow

Just a few weeks ago we were all together, sharing stories in friendship, just like old times. We are so grateful for that time spent together and for Leesa's initiative in seeing that we did this, knowing that soon she may no longer be able meet with us. We miss her- her beautiful smile, her honesty, her intellect, her warmth, her hospitality and generosity, her genuine joie de vivre, the way she loved her family so much and was so proud of each member. We will never forget that you, Michael, and Leesa, with Eli in tote, surprised us at the airport when we made aliya in 1991, and brought us the new necessities for life in Israel - th…
